Baby Feet - Over the past couple of days, Froggy has really started discovering his feet. He's completely fascinated by them! Had I known he would spend hours playing with his feet, I might not have spent so much money on my big pile of The Best Toys Ever For Babies (aka Completely Useless Mess Makers) that Froggy has no interest in whatsoever. But no biggie, live and learn. I'm loving every second of seeing him begin to explore himself and his surroundings. It's pretty much the coolest thing ever.
Mommy Feet - Pedicures were one of my favorite treats before Froggy was born, but since becoming a mom I have less time and less money. I'm constantly on the lookout for easy, cost efficient options that still allow me to relax and feel pampered. Here are two do-it-yourself ideas for an at-home pedi on a budget:
- Milk Soak - Milk is actually really good at softening calluses. Add a cup of milk to a foot bath of warm water and soak for ten minutes. (For even more pampering add a couple of tablespoons of honey.)
- Foot Scrub - You can make a simple and effective foot scrub by mixing sea salt and olive oil. I usually use about a teaspoon of sea salt for every tablespoon of olive oil. (For even more pampering puree a handful of strawberries and mix with your scrub.)
